I've added a fair amount to the gallery today including a couple new sections. It may take a bit of time to get everything straightened up but it's been long overdue for some attention and I needed to start somewhere.

The 3D section has been added to, with a couple works in progress and a new-finished piece. The previous pages will hopefully be reworked over the next few days.

The 2D Painting section contains work that I've done over the past year or so. I've just started poking at painting in Photoshop and it's turned out to be a bunch of fun. For as long as I've known what Matter Painting is I have been captivated by it, and wanted to try my hand at it. Most of the work in this section has been purely for fun but a few pieces are concept art for un-named projects. Now that I'm working in the effects industry, with some amazingly talented matte painters I really want to give a stab at something real. We will see if time allows.

The Traditional section has a few images from ancient history. When I get a chance I need to add in a few more and give some descriptions.

For anyone that might be following the progress here, I've hooked up most of the images in this first section. The bulk of what you see here are test images created over the past year. All of the scenes have been created in 3DSMax both R3 and now R4. In addition, most have been rendered with Brazil and its predecessor, Ghost, both plugin rendering systems for Max. If you're interested in rendering you should defiantly check out Brazil. It currently, even in alpha, beats the socks off of the native scanline renderer in Max and several other plugin renderers I've tried. Better yet the alpha is open to the public, which in my humble opinion has been a fantastic move on the part of the developers. The work produced by it so far speaks volumes as to its capabilities and the future looks even brighter. For more information check out SplutterFish.com

I've had the good fortune to be part of the Brazil crew testing team during this time so some of the images may reflect features not yet or just hooked up in the public version.
